Our Approach

Investment Objective: The objective of CF Ventures is to make equity investments primarily in later–stage companies as well as to provide equity financing for acquisitions and recapitalizations. CF Ventures prefers to act as the sole investor in a corporation.

Capital: Approximately $100 million of capital and is currently being actively invested.

Investment Size: The fund targets its investment range between two and ten million dollars. A minimum investment would be in the range of one million dollars.

Methods of Acquisition:

The general framework of the types of acquisitions pursued by CF Ventures can be illustrated as follows:

Corporate Divisions – CF Ventures can acquire information divisions of larger publicly held corporations which divisions no longer fit the strategic plans of the corporation. It is critical that management stay in place in such acquisitions.

Recapitalization – CF Ventures can provide funds to recapitalize a corporation for the redemption of shareholder.

Growth Financing – CF Ventures can provide funds to finance growth by the expansion of product lines, marketing channels or corporate acquisitions.

Turnarounds – CF Ventures will fund turnaround situations where corrective steps are clear and achievable. The absence of consistent performance is a great impediment to trust investing.
